Error codes

A failed command or call names one code. The code never changes for the same failure; the message can. Each code has one exit code in the CLI.

Code	Exit code	What it means
`NOT_AUTHENTICATED`	3	The request has no valid sign-in.
`EMAIL_DELIVERY_FAILED`	5	Capxul could not send an email that the request needs.
`PROFILE_NOT_FOUND`	5	The person has no Capxul profile yet.
`SMART_ACCOUNT_MISSING`	6	The person has no account on chain yet.
`PLAYER_NOT_FOUND`	5	Capxul has no record of the person the request names.
`ACCOUNT_NOT_FOUND`	5	Capxul has no account with the ID the request names.
`ACCOUNT_CLAIMED_BY_OTHER_SIGNER`	6	Another wallet already controls this account.
`PROVIDER_ERROR`	5	A service that Capxul uses did not complete the request.
`PROVIDER_RESPONSE_INVALID`	5	A service answered, but Capxul could not use the answer.
`CAPABILITY_UNAVAILABLE`	6	This deployment cannot do what the request asks.
`INVALID_INPUT`	2	A value in the request is not valid.
`ENV_MISSING`	5	The deployment is missing a setting it needs.
`NOT_IMPLEMENTED`	5	This operation is not built yet.
`VERIFICATION_REQUIRED`	6	The person or business must be verified first.
`INSUFFICIENT_BALANCE`	6	The account does not hold enough money for this payment.
`INVALID_RECIPIENT`	6	The payment cannot go to this recipient.
`ROLE_PERMISSION_DENIED`	4	You are not allowed to do this, so nothing was signed.
`ROLE_CONFLICT`	6	One person cannot hold these two roles together.
`TRANSACTION_FAILED`	5	The transaction did not complete on chain.
`RATE_LIMITED`	6	Too many requests arrived in a short time.
`NETWORK_ERROR`	5	The request did not reach Capxul, or the answer did not come back.
`UNKNOWN`	5	Something failed and Capxul could not say why.
`OTP_EXPIRED`	2	The sign-in code expired.
`SIGNER_REJECTED`	6	The wallet declined to sign.
`CANCELLED`	130	The command stopped before it finished.
`WRONG_STATE`	2	The request is valid, but the current state does not allow it.
`STALE_EPOCH`	6	The request was based on an earlier version of the data.
`SUPERSEDED`	6	A newer request replaced this one.
`WORK_DIED`	5	Background work for this request stopped unexpectedly.
`ACTOR_STOPPED`	6	The account or Organization that would do this is stopped.
`WRONG_ENVIRONMENT`	2	This command does not run in the current environment.
`FEATURE_NOT_AVAILABLE`	6	This feature is not switched on for you or your Organization.
`PAYROLL_BUDGET_EXCEEDED`	6	An offer or a raise would commit more than the department has left this year. Nothing was signed.
`PAYER_BALANCE_TOO_LOW`	6	The Organization's account holds less than this collection pays.
`CLI_USAGE`	2	The command line is not valid.
`CLI_CONFIG`	2	The CLI configuration is not valid.
`CLI_STORAGE`	2	The CLI could not read or write its local files.
`CLI_DEFECT`	1	The CLI failed unexpectedly.
`CLI_DEADLINE`	5	The command stopped waiting before the work finished.
`EXPERIMENTAL_NOT_ACCEPTED`	2	Production was chosen without accepting that it is experimental.
`ENVIRONMENT_NOT_CHOSEN`	2	No environment is chosen, and this command needs one.
