What it means

The account does not hold enough money for this payment.

Common causes

• The balance is lower than the amount, or money is already set aside for other payments.

Fix it

1. Check the balance: capxul balance.
2. Add money (capxul address shows where), or send a smaller amount.

In JSON and the SDK

With --json, the CLI prints:

In the SDK, a failed result has result.error.code === "INSUFFICIENT_BALANCE". Branch on the code, not on the message: the message is written for people and can change.
