CLI_DEADLINE

The command stopped waiting before the work finished.

What it means

The command stopped waiting before the work finished.

Common causes

  • The work is slow, but it can still finish.

Fix it

  1. Read the item again later, or wait for it with the wait command that next names.

In JSON and the SDK

With --json, the CLI prints:

Only the CLI answers with this code. The SDK never returns it. Branch on the code, not on the message: the message is written for people and can change.
